BCA Project Updates: Beverly Street Lighting Project on Laswell Avenue is proceeding. Underground boring has been completed. A water line in the street was hit during boring and was repaired quickly. Preliminary foundations with bolts to anchor the streetlights has been done. The project is to be completed by April 15th. There may be a 24 week delay in getting the lights turned on because of the PG&E crisis. Forest Avenue Drainage Project is on schedule. The final design specifications and bid documents are being finalized. They will be ready for County Roads and Airport?’s review and inspection this week before sending them on to Cal Trans for approval to go out to bid for construction. Bascom Avenue Streetscape Project: Metropolitan Transportation Commission has reviewed the preliminary plans and has offered additional suggestions. A collaborative committee will be reviewing the MTC suggestions this week. The older Burbank, A & B Street Lighting is being reviewed by PG&E. This may take up to 24 weeks to determine the feasibility of the project.
