I am currently wrangling with the city over home improvements I wish to make on my home. Apparently, since we are in a historic district, we cannot improve our homes without making a federal case out of all of this. What are your thoughts about our designation as a Historic Preservation District? Is it helpful to the neighborhood? Is it a big bother? Would you like to see changes in the design guidelines?
