Governor's 2000 Award of Excellence - Honorable Mention

The Ohio Crime Prevention Association has announced that the Fox Block Watch will receive Honorable Mention for the Governor's 2000 Award of Excellence.
The award is being given as recognition of our efforts to reduce and prevent crime in the Hilltop Area of Columbus.

We as the Block Watch Members as well as our Columbus Police can take great pride in this honor. It is truly special to be recognized by the Governor for our hard work and dedication toward making our neighborhood as well as the Hilltop Area a safer place to live.

Rachel Mathess (Block Watch Cpt) has been asked by the Ohio Crime Prevention Association to accept the award on behalf of the Block Watch Group.

From Rachel: I will accept the award with each of you in my heart and mind. It wouldn't have ben possible without each and everyone of us taking an active part. We have done an exceptional job and our recognition is well deserved. Thanks to everyone! It really shows what we can accomplish when we (Police and Residents) work together. We're a good team and we have done well.
