Neighbors learn safety from the CPD

May 6th many of the High Ridge residents met at W. Mound Elementary to learn safety tips from Columbus Police Liaison Officer Norm Russell and Sargeant Alex Behnan. Also present was Officer Chris Riley, Officer Joe Belmonte, and our National Crime Prevention favorite McGruff the Crime Dog.

Within the crowd was Atanya Brown of Neighborhood Link who supplies our web site, Cliff Browning of Code Enforcement, Michael Pickard of Refuse Collection, Pam Weaver of the Hilltop Resource Center and Chris Wrobleski of Employee Benefit Management Corp.

There were door prizes and a Special Certificate Award to Officer Russell for all his hard work in making it possible. The meeting ended with a Police Helicopter demonstration! The Pilot landed it so the neighbors could really see it up close and ask questions. That doesn't happen everyday!!!

We all owe the Columbus Police Dept a great THANKS for being so good to us. They are truly the BEST!!!
