So I have been reading all of the posts and have found that the majority of the information is negative.  Is that becuase peopel use this to vent?  Can someone give me a really honest picture of the neighborhood? We are supposed to move into Hunters Chase next month (we close on the house in a few weeks).  Tonight we found that the crime statistics for this zip code were a little higher than the rest of san antonio.  Also, it seems that peopl are pretty unhappy with the HOA... can someone talk about some of the positive things about living in this area? To be honest I am really nervous becuase we have young children and want to make sure we aren't making a terrible decision moving into this area.

For those of you that have issues with the HOA what are the top 10 things you wish they would do differently?

I know its been a few months since you posted this, but i hope that u decided on staying in our subdivision. I know people vent alot...and i have used this to vent too, BUT I have to tell you, Hunters Chase is a great community to live in, and so is the neighboring subdivisions. There are always some people in any neighborhood who mess things up for everyone else, and make the neighbrhood look bad, but we've been living here for the past 2 years and love the people who live here and cant be happier of where we chose to buy our house and raise our daughter. Everyone is really nice, Scobee Elementary has been such an exceptional school with dedicated teachers who care. I grew up in a pretty bad neighborhood back in L.A and i know what bad neighborhoods are....and this isnt one of them. when you look at the big picture, we live in a very safe community with good hard working people. Just take a look at all the people who go for jogs or walks throughout the neighborhood...you dont see that much in bad neighborhoods. And for the HOA, well...is anyone anywhere ever happy with their HOA?? Anywho, im assuming since u posted this in august and closed on your home, you've realized some of these things. Dont let some of our venting scare you off, we all just need someone to complain to :) Happy Holidays and i hope everyone remembers that if You are a good neighbor, the neighborhood will be a better place!
