Prince George’s County District IV Police Department has a new Commander—Major Raphael Grant (from District III).

Major Raphael Grant took Command of District IV on 30 December 2012.  He looks forward to working with each and everyone of you and continuing the relationship that Major Harper has started.  He is committed to building relationships in the community, making the community safe and ensuring that the community is kept informed of all incidents/activities in their community.
Major Grant has been with the Prince George's County Government for over 20 years; 6 years as a Prince George's County Firefighter, where he served the citizens in two of the busiest stations in Prince George's County and 14 years  as a Police Officer, where he served as a Patrol Officer, a Narcotics Investigator, a Narcotics Supervisor, a Shift Commander for Police District III, a Commander of the Major Narcotic Section and an Assistant Commander of the District III Investigative/Enforcement Section.
