JUNE 2008

June, 2008 BULLETIN Number 2008-5

Where In The Wildwood Contest ?– Our online contest has not been won for three months so the prize money is up to $15.00! That?’s a lot of ice cream!! How well do you know our city? Test your powers of observation with our monthly contest at www.cityofwildwood-ky.com and you could be a winner too!

Just a reminder, overnight street parking is against city ordinance! If you are a resident or a guest of a resident you need to park in the driveway! Grass parking is also against city ordinance.

Morgan Ott is resigning from her position as City Clerk. We wish to extend a great amount of thanks to her for filling this position. If anyone is interested in spending an hour a month helping to keep city notes we are very interested in talking to you. Please call me, or speak to any of the Commissioners!

If you wish to run for city office the deadline is August 12th. The filing fee is $20.00, which the city typically covers. We go down as a group so we can sign each other?’s paperwork. If you are interested please let me know.

Please include in your thoughts and prayers the family of Lilialyce Akers, 132 Wildwood Lane, who passed away June 10th. I?’m very disturbed regarding the events that lead to her death. She fell in her carport and laid there for two days before she was found. She lived across the street from me, which is the disturbing thing. As a neighborhood we need to look out for each other, especially if your neighbor lives alone. We need to keep watch for activity and not hesitate to knock on their door or at least make an initial phone call to make sure all is well. I urge all of you to reach out to your neighbors, even if you don?’t know them. We?’re all very busy, but should not be too busy to look out for each other. If you?’re uncomfortable doing this, no big deal, call me and I?’ll take care of it or find someone that will.

Our next meeting is on July 17th at Starbucks at 6:00. Please feel free to stop by!!

We?’re taking an informal poll on whether to install speed bumps. Please mark Yes or No on this bulletin and place it in the bag on my mailbox at 151 Tanglewood Trail, or you can leave a message on Commissioner Richena Holbert?’s answering machine at 426-5105. Please respond by Friday, July 11.
If a majority are in favor, the city may pursue a formal petition among all residents. Thanks!!

ARE YOU IN FAVOR OF INSTALLING SPEED BUMPS IN WILDWOOD? _____ YES _____NO

Return your poll to Craig Brangers at 151 Tanglewood Trail, or call Richena Holbert at 426-5105
PLEASE RESPOND BY JULY 11
