Purpose:
1. To inform and link residential, commercial, light industrial, institutional and government stakeholders of the 4-mile by 3-mile target area.
2.To look at trends that affect quality of life and economic development.
3. To look at patterns that impact business development and job development.
4. To use strengths and opportunities to leverage threats and weaknesses of the target area.
5. To put in place neighborhood leadership that is "linked" for decision making that is systemic for sustainability and spending federal dollars.
6. To incorporate SmartGrowth tenets.
7. To create 4 state-of-the art Neighborhood Resource Centers.
The plan is spearheaded by Campaign Neighborhood - CFNBA.
The National Anti-Racism Programme of Ireland is being used as one of the models for addressing systemic and infrastructural issues.
