BUSY BEAVERS PUBLIC ART PROJECT
Fiberglass Design (1): “Upright” (5’ high, 30” wide, 24” deep)
Fiberglass Design (2): “Walking” (18” high, 30” long, 12” deep).
Time Line: NOW thru October 1, 2005

Artist Design: by Thursday, March 17, 2005 - St. Patrick's Day(1st order)

Description:
Have you heard of the Cows in Chicago, Beasties in Milwaukee or the Dogs & Cats of Racine?
This is a similar project except we are working with BEAVERS.
This is a Public Art Project designed to increase:
1.....Image Building
2.....Paradigm Shifting
3.....Neighborhood Participation
4.....Neighborhood Empowerment
5.....Neighborhood Awareness
6.....Art Appreciation
7.....FUNDRAISING
The funds raised will benefit:
1.....CFNBA Neighborhood Greeters Program (foot/bike/car patrol)
2.....Jazz & Blues @ Johnson Pavilion - Fabulous Johnson Park
DESIGNS
Beavers are given to Artists for design submission.
1st Designs & Briefing: Monday, February 14, 2005 - Valentine's Day, 5:30pm, Big Man's House of Blues, 35th & North.
SIZE OF SUBMITTED DRAWINGS
The two-dimension drawings submitted by Artists for selection by the Review Committee for the competition should be:
19" X 30" .... Minimum Size
21" x 30" .... Maximum Size
An Artist may submit more than one design but not more than two.
DESIGN SELECTION
Designs are selected by the REVIEW Committee for three-dimension fiberglass prototype form painting.
The Project Director and Review Committee must authorize physical changes to the Beaver prototype.
The FIBERGLASS ART FORM has specifics for completion. Technical support is provided by Cowpainters, LLC - Chicago, IL.
THE 2005 REVIEW TEAM WILL BE ANNOUNCED BY MARCHC 1, 2005.
