David Bain, President, opened the meeting with the anouncements related to the following;

Association board members are working on the following:
July 4rth parade around the park
National Night Out August 2007
Association pot luck November 2007
Safe house for kids

A presentation was given by Beth Barker Hildago and Carol Willis on Neighborhood Emergency Training. They discussed the following topics:

Flooding
Hazardous materials
Natural disasters
Creating a family disaster plan
Basic emergency supply kits
Evacuation procedures
Levees
Plans for your animals
Community emergency response training (CERT)

They also gave the audience several hand outs to prepare for emergencies
