HB 2292 has passed the Senate and may soon be sent to the Govenor's Office for signauture.?  This bill will extend the existing sales tax for transportation for another 20 years when the current tax for transportation expires in 2005.

Each County in the state shall have the opportunity to establish a Regional Planning Agency for transportation.?  In Maricopa County that will consist of MAG, County Board of Supervisors, and a Transportation Policy Committee to prepare a multi-nodal and coordinated regional transportation plan that will need to go back to the legislature for approval before it is voted upon by an election. . . ☻
