Take Precautions Against Heat Before Hiking

Heading out :for a hike? Mind the heat. Make sure you?’re equipped with the following essentials, including:

?• Proper footwear (preferably hiking boots).
?• Sunblock and a hat.
?• Loose, light-colored clothing.
?• Water, water, and more water (if you?’re unfamiliar with desert hiking, -bring more than you think you?’ll need)
?• Know your limitations. Be sure to pace yourself, especially on hikes with a lot of elevation gain.
?• Stay on the trail! Many injuries and rescues occur off trail. Besides, Phoenix has a city ordinance that prohibits trailblazing. . . ☻
