Hurricane Ivan is projected to track through our area later this week, bringing heavy rain, and possible strong winds. ORHA recommends that preparations be made for the possibility of extended power outages due to falling tree limbs. Some suggestions: Fill up the car with gas, lay on enough non-perishable food/water for a couple of days, refill any needed prescription drugs, have a battery powered radio handy, along with flashlights, batteries, and any other comfort items that do not require electricity.
