On 1/5/99, I attended a status meeting concerning the storm resevoir being installed at 49th & V on the Med Center propery.

Thanks to the contractor Sierra National Construction and good weather, the project is on schedule.

The pump house building design has been approved and should complement the property well. A compromise was achieved for a wall height surrounding the air venting apparatus.

Traffic on V will be impacted for about a week sometime after January, 1999 and on 49th for about a month at the same time. This is to allow connection to the main sewer connection. Contact one of the project managers at the construction trailer for details.

At the next neighbor meeting on Feb 2, 1999, landscaping plans will be reviewed and neighbors will have a chance to comment. The meeting is at Ronald McDonald house at 7 pm.

I think this project is well worth the temporary headache and inconveniences. The weather as been good to us this year so far.. but in the event of a 5 year or 10 year storm this storage facility may very be the difference between elmhurst residents loosing there belongings in there garage or flooding inside their homes---
