302 homeowners met the March 1st deadline for submitting their homeowner's dues. 99 families still owed dues on March 7th. For those who haven't yet paid, please pay them as soon as possible or contact our treasurer, Mica Nelson, to make arrangements to pay them.
A couple of comments were received with the dues payments:
- One resident requests that we remind other residents to help enforce the dog leash order. They point out that many people are fearful of dogs and should not be subjected to unthoughtful owners. So please keep your dogs on a leash around the lake, pick up after them, and request that other owners or area visitors do likewise.
- Another resident feels like our monetary awards for the holicay decorations contest would be better spent on duck food. They feel that those who go to the work and expense of decorating their yards do so for the joy it brings them and that a nice certificate would be better. The State Wildlife Department and other experts actually recommend that we not feed the ducks. That way it ensures the ducks get the proper diet and limits the number of ducks to food available. The cost per family for the holiday awards is 38 cents, but how do the rest of you feel about making the holiday decorations contest a recognition-only event like our Yards of the Month program?
