So many drivers are not only speeding on Jaymar Blvd, but swerving to the right to hit the lower side of the speed bump. We are 204 Jaymar, and my neighbors have had the light pole and out mail boxes replaced because of careless drivers trying to avoid the speed bumps. Suggestion: either build up the sides of speed bumps to keep drivers in middle, or install double speed bumps as Scottfield did to reduce swerving and speeding. My fear is a pedestrian (child) will be hit because driver will continue to the sidewalk!

DelDOT is in charge of speed bumps on the roads. In general, 50% of the residents of a street must sign a petition requesting speed bumps to get them installed.
I'ts important to have some sort of side deterrent, like heavy rocks at the side of the road, so the folks not interested in slowing down can't drive on the grass instead. |
