Camp Zachary Taylor

Why is there not a Museum for Camp Zachary Taylor?

Posted in: Camp Zachary Taylor

I posted this question on the History and Issues website, http://www.historyandissues.org/louisville/viewtopic.php?t=1711.

Camp Zachary Taylor was a major event in Louisville's History and there is Nothing commemorating it's existence or the thousands of men who severed there and went to War, many of them who lost their lives over 90 years ago. Why cannot the neighborhood of Camp Zachary Taylor organize an effort to have some type of memorial or museum for this great accomplishment of of City? It certainly could be developed into a landmark of interest that would improve the exposure of the neighborhood and maybe even help bolster the economy from tourism.
