I'm sure that you have called and feel like you're getting the run-a-round. And I too have drove around Westown taking down addresses to call to Graffiti hotline. Unforunately, the Westown block watch board members could probably call and feel the same way. The police act on these issues when they hear many voices about the problem. I live on Bloomfield, so if I was to call about Aster, it would have very little impact if any at all. Your best bet is to talk with your neighbors in the same area that are dealing with this problem, and have them all call. With repeated calls (and I mean several a day if the speeding is witnessed that many times) from all the neighbors, the police will take action. I can sense your frustration, and wish there was an easy solution. Please keep an eye out for the date of the next Westown meeting, and plan to attend. This will give you an opportunity to share the issue with more neighbors who perhaps live close to you, and are also willing to advocate for safety by placing calls. Westown will support and encourage you in your challenge and provide you with numbers or other resources, but a person (either yourself or another) has to lead the battle against the speeding in your specific area.
