Last evening at approximately 1930hrs, two women rang our door bell saying they were from ADT. Both were caucasian, well dresed in black tights and white sweatshirts and one with a stocking cap. Both were in their 20's, by my guess.
They said they needed to check my ADT panel to insure it was the most current and that we had received the "discount". One did all the talking and was very pushy. After listening to her "spiel" for a few seconds it ws clear that this was some sort of a scam.
I was checking to see if anyone else might be hiding in the dark or shrubs and for a vehicle-none. After dismissing them I did a neighborhood walk around, but could not find them.
I checked with ADT today-they had no idea what I was talking about. They would call a customer prior to sending anyone out to a residence.
I also called the PD, gave them a heads-up.
Just a recommendation: Possibly setting up targets for burglary or home invasion. Security should be on high alert. Do NOT open the door-talk through it. Call the PD immediately. These actors need to be ID'd.
