What are Covenants & Restrictions?

Like most housing additions, Canyon North has Covenants & Restrictions which help define the appearance of our neighborhood. They address such topics as home businesses, types of vehicles which may be kept on your property, additions to your property and information on the placement of fences, just to mention a few. If you do not have a copy of these Restrictions and Covenants please send an email to the link below, give your name, address and phone number and we will get a copy to you.

Our C&Rs contain nothing that are not already in the municipal codes of the City of OKC. 

Why do we have Covenants & Restrictions?

All neighborhoods have C&Rs as it not only helps maintain property values but it also provides guidelines to the initial contruction of our homes. They help keep our neighborhood uniform in appearance which in turn help our resale value.

What happens if I am in violation of a Covenant or Restriction?

If it is reported to the CNNA Board of Directors that there's a possibility of a violation, the board will check out the complaint and the city will be contacted to confirm that there is indeed a violation of city code. If there is a violation, the city will notify the homeowner by mail and the problem must be resolved or you could face the possiblity of repair expenses and possibly a lien against your property. Please keep yourself informed of what the codes are so this doesn't happen to you. Your neighbors will thank-you for helping keep our neighborhood looking GREAT!
