Des Moines Police East Side Boxing Club

Des Moines Police East Side Boxing Club is located at 2025 E. Grand Ave Des Moines, Iowa 50316. The building was acquired by the City of Des Moines in 2008. The vancant building was transfored into a boxing club / workout facility for the city's neighborhood youth. The facility includes a sixteen foot free standing boxing ring, two heavy bags, two speed bags, two double end bags, two stationary bikes, treadmill, chin up bar, and polymeric equipment.
The Des Moines Police East Side Boxing Club is a place for local kids to learn about boxing in a safe and supervised environment. The club will be operated by the Police Department and Office John Saunders.
Membership is open to all Des Moines area youth ages 9 and older provided they are a full time student in an elementary, middle or high school.
Hours of operation are 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. during school session and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the summer.
