I wasn't trying to sound mean about this, but apparently y'all think I am.  I am not saying anything negative about the kids themselves, I think they are all great kids, really nice, polite kids.  I don't want to see them hurt.  I am not that old either, when my kids were younger and played in the yard, we didn't have connecting back yards either, we had 6 foot privacy fences, but the yards served there purpose, we also utilized the nice parks Schertz provides.  Also, the schools used to let the kids play outside there as well.  I don't know much about the covenents, but I do know the city of Schertz is on my side.  The taxpayers pay for these roads for our cars, but that is not my point.  If there is an emergency, like an ambulance or fire truck, maybe a police car going faster than usual, this will slow them down.  I am guessing these responses I am getting are from parents of the kids, defending them.

This post is a couple years old now and I am wondering how it all worked out. Are there still kids playing in the road. We are considering moving into the neighborhood, we have nice kids, however they are NOT allowed to play in the street. I have an almost new driver who I am concerned with hitting other cars not alone children. If I could get an update on the situation I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm not the parent nor do I know the parents. The point is that no matter where the children play, they get complaints. My children are older and aren't outside but when they were, one neighbor yelled at them fearing they might touch her lawn. Let's enjoy our kids and commend them for being outside doing healthy activities.
