Lawn Inspections are Winding Down...

Sep 30, 2003

Now that we are approaching the end of the growing season we will be emphasizing re-sodding and re-seeding areas damaged by bugs. If your lawn suffered an invasion of Chinch bugs, Sod Web Worms, or other insect damage, experts say now is the time to re-sod and re-seed.
Most professionals recommend late September or early October as the time to lay down new sod or to re-seed dead areas because the summer heat is diminishing and the threat from insects has lessened. So if you had the unfortunate luck to have your beautiful lawn chewed up by insects we will be asking you to repair the damage now so that your lawn will be ready when the growing season returns next March.
After the first freeze, usually in mid-November, we will be inspecting the properties for an accumulations of leaves or other fallen debris.
As the holiday season ends we will be looking for holiday decorations that may have been left up. Just a reminder, all decorations must be removed no later than 30-days after the holiday has passed.
