Parking and speed bumps...

Posted in: Steppes of Barcroft
I think that we have a great community that gives a sense of seclusion and peacefulness from the busy area. However, I believe that the following two issues are very frustrating as a resident.

Parking: Unfortunately, it seems that some residents do not respect their neighbors. My understanding is that residents basically have 2 spaces (although I think the actual number is 1.57). You have one directly in front of the unit and the other in the unmarked area. Seems pretty logical to me but every day I see that people go out of their way to find ''special'' parking spots which encroaches other resident's spaces.

Use the parking spots directly in front of your unit. If you have guests, then be a considerate neighbor and tell them to park in spots that you know will not burden your neighbors. If you have more than 2 cars, please park the excess vehicles some place else.

Speed bumps: Who brought the idea to the table and authorized it? These speed bumps are extremely troublesome to rollover and potentially damaging to one's car. These things are shaped like a pyramid, void of any curved or smooth edge. This is a very disappointing decision on part of the Condo Assoc and community. I can't possibly imagine that the majority of this community support the speed bumps.
