Subject: Back to Basics Improvements
Dear Resident:
As you may already be aware, the Ward 4 Council Office has designated Carson Corners neighborhood as a Back to
Basics program grant recipient. The purpose of this grant is to improve neighborhood infrastructure, The amount of
funds available for improvements is $530,000.00.
A potential project for a portion of the funds is to install streetlights on Stella between Kolb and Pantano. The City
Department of transportation staff estimates that the cost to install these streetlights will be approximately $300,000.
Alternatively improvements could be made a portions of Prudence Road, or some of each.
You are invited to a public meeting on Tuesday, March 12,2002 at 7:00PM at Reynolds Elementary School, located at
7450 East Stella, to determine if the neighborhood supports the proposal to install street lighting on Stella Road. ",'
Additionally, we need you to bring ideas for projects that could be built with the remaining $200,000 dollars in funding. 2
