Please read the flyer left at your address by the DC Department of Health. A
raccoon that was barely breathing was picked up on June 5, 2012 on the 1400
block of Hamilton St. NW and was determined rabid after testing. This is the third incidence of rabid raccoons in this area of NW in the past two months.

If you see an animal that appears to be sick or is behaving strangely, please
call DC Animal Control at 311. Do not feed or touch wild animals and make sure
your pets' vaccinations are up to date.
