wow! the weeds in this neighborhood are growing like MAD and it appears that not everyone is keeping up. for example, take a drive down shapinsay in the vantage home...looks HORRID! Surprised

now it seems odd to me that i get a friendly little notice for my trash can being out front for 3 days (we were on holiday), yet my neighbors can grow themselves a pretty little weed farm in their front yard (which has looked like that since december).  can anyone tell me who i need to make nice with so i can get away with it too? i know i'm tired of pulling weeds every few days! lol

I'm sure you neighbor keeps getting fines from the HOA but just doesnt care to pay them, or pick his weeds for that matter.  It's a shame what our community is turning into.  I think we need to go back to the good old days where an HOA could take your house from you for almost any reason...then maybe we could clean house here!!!

It is depressing the way alot of yards look.  I would like to see the HOA pay to have the yards cleaned up and send the home owner the bill.  I realize some of these homes are vacant but there are plenty with weeds waist high that are occupied.

Great idea...only problem is, most people don't pay their fines (or bill in this case), so the HOA eats the cost.  And the only recourse the HOA has is to go to small claims court...that cost MUCH more in legal fees than the fines themselves.  What it boils down to is people need to grow up and take responsibility for their yards and property....or get out!  Move to a crummy neighborhood where nobody cares, but for God's sake, QUIT bringin our neighborhood down!  (Directed at all the deadbeat homeowners out there, you KNOW who you are!)
