Police Volunteer Citizens' Patrol

Now Seek Applicants for the VPD Volunteer Citizens' Patrol!

When Chief Cook became Chief of VPD, one of the programs that he wanted to get going was a Citizen volunteer patrol. Well, the time has come! The Chief outlined his program at the Precinct Meeting last summer.

Your neighborhood liaison officer, Marion Swendsen, would like you to talk with neighbors and see if anyone, including yourselves, might be interested in this program. She is compiling a list of names from the East Precinct area. She needs a name and contact information, including phone number and address. She has been asked to do this as soon as possible.

Additional information, length of training, location, etc. will be sent to those who are interested. There would be a mini background investigation on interested individuals.
