Castlegate Community

Disgusting

Posted in: Castlegate

Well I guess I should be checking on here more often, I replyed and did not check on here until today. I can see we have one person that knows everything about spray paint.  I would like to respond to them,  a pressure washer indeed might not take off the spray paint, however I know for a FACT that the Magic Eraser products do.  I know this because one of our company vans had been tagged with RED spray paint.  With a little work and one of the Magic Erasers all the paint was removed.  Flanders, if I were you I would not walk over that lot in the dark.  I hope everyone knows there are Gang memebers in our area, Cambria has had another fatal gun battle leaving a 17 year old girl dead. This is not the first for that community.  Yes I do feel it is VERY tacky to bring your truck (I really don't care if it is a brand new truck or some 40 year old rusted out one) and leave it sitting by the road.  Even worse, after it has been tagged and you bring it back, with the tagging on it again or not.  This really takes a smart person to have there truck tagged, you remove it, possibly clean it off possibly not, and then bring it back to the same spot and leave it unattended.  As far as I am concerned it is an eyesoar, on private land and yes I will call it in the next time I see it there.  As for finding the kids that have done it, good luck. First if you do find them, they have no money, and mom and dad will not pay, or do not have any money.  Even if you do find them and get them to pay they will come back (because now they know were you live) and you will have a lot more damage than they paid for the first time. Do I think they should get away with it ... NO  but I would let the police handle it all together.

Oh......Thanks BG I'll try to remember not to go out after dark. Is it O.K. if I go for a walk in the morning. All I said in the first place was did you see the truck. I had no idea people would blame the owner. It's kind of alarming but I guess it explains why some kids are the way they are today. Would I park there, No Way!

Ok last posting on this issue from me, Flanders, blame the owner, well yes he is part to blame.  Part I said, anyone that has there van tagged and brings is back to the same place to have it tagged again should not have a drivers license.  It sure would be nice to live in the 1920's ( your era Flanders) where everyone repected others property, looked out for each other, helped the little old lady across the street, rather than grabbing her purse and running her over, but we don't.  We live in 2008, where people keep to themselves, 12 year olds get pregnate, 10 year olds die from drug overdose and 15 year olds are running for Gang leader.  People get shot walking down the street, just because and no one really cares.  Yes there are block watches, and police on bikes that patrol the neighborhood, but crime still happens.  What I am saying is today you can't leave a $10.00 bill taped to your front door and expect it still to be there in the morning.  Leaving your unattended van out on a vacant Private property overnight, your asking for vandalism.  You sure would not leave your garage door open at night, heck even the police that ride around our neighborhood will knock on your door to tell you to close it.  In your responce it sounds like to me you think my kids are troublemakers.  Well they are not, they go to school everyday, are on the B honor roll, have not missed one day of school in over a year.  I teach them not to steal, to help others but be careful, not everyone is nice.  Take care of your stuff, don't leave it out for anyone to take, because someone will.  Basic rules of todays life.  Sorry if your stuck in the "Olden Days" but I live in todays.

However I think my point was missed.  My point is by the van parking there it not only is inviting others to park there to advertise there business,  but it also is inviting vandalism.
