The way I understood the discussion on the trash last night we wouldn't have our dues increased. The only way you  will have to pay out of pocket is if you want another garbage can. I think they said $6.00 for it. I am all for the new garbage company. They seem to have their act together and could answer a question with out thinking about it. The extra 93 cents will be worth having recycling. The community has been asking for that from the begining.

The new garbage contract will be paid for with the HOA dues.  As far as increasing dues, the board has not discussed that, and that is not soley dependent on the new trash contract.  The new board will likely be tasked with this decision as soon as they come aboard.  When the board drafts the budget for 2010, that is when dues will be discussed.  Keep in mind, all the board members pay their dues, so when they vote for an increase, they are also paying the increase, so we don't want an increase anymore than anyone else.  So, if the board can work around an increase and find ways to save instead, we will.
