Don't you mean we need a new insurance company?  It is the insurance company saying we cannot do it or they won't insure those areas...not the property manager.  Don't shoot the messenger

Well this is tabled until after the election.  Although I do think this needs to be looked into, the policy needs to be viewed and the insurance company needs to provide exactly what area of the policy it states that the owners of the property are not allowed to maintain it.  Think about this, the county comes in a says "hey your sand it low, your going to get fined" and the insurance company says "hey you better not do it yourself or we will not insure those areas ever again".  The contractor is sitting there smiling.  Well we can play there game if you like.  I know for a fact we have serveral contractors (licensed, insured and bonded) that live in our Community.  If we talk really nice to them, give them a chair and a lemonade also a dollar and get a receipt, sit them down next to the tot lot I bet we all could be unpaid workers for him for the day.  Now that's day labor :)

wait are you saying the insurance company is telling us not to do it? Or if you do it we are not responsible for any injuring, If that is the case why can't we have them sign a disclaimer saying that castlegate is not responsible for any injury. I'm not a lawyer but that seem to be a way to get around the insurance problem, maybe Mike can call Brett and find out if this would work, since he already called the insurance company to find out we couldn't do it. So yes I do blame the property manager for not thinking of this after he talked to the insurance company after all we are trying to save some money here.

Also if the insurance company is worried that someone might get hurt in the park area's, then when we put up those sun shades did we have a problem there as you know those kids are climbing them ,that is what they said at the last meeting maybe we should take those down as well cause we might get sued. I know that is a absurd example but lets get real here, I am sure the people who show up are pretty responsible adults,
