That's AWESOME Rosewood, kudos to you and your roomie both for volunteering in the first place and even bigger kudos for taking that shift.  Fabulous!

MGLVR there was a reason why we didn't quality to put those signs up and unfortunately it's been too many years now for me to remember what it was, but I do remember there was a reason why we didn't qualify 5 years ago when we tried to put them up.

I agree I think they'd be great and maybe they have changed their rules in the past few years or maybe we qualify now depending on what the reason was that we didn't.  I will make sure to ask the deputy in charge about that in my next e-mail to him.

Volunteering for block watch would be fantastic.  We have around 1,400 homes here and so far I have 10 individuals who have said they'd be willing to help.  Hopefully we can drum up more help as time goes on.  I don't know if you already e-mailed me or nto but if you didn't please do and I'll be sending out an e-mail to the folks who have responded to me in the beginning of January, if you already did then your e-mail is saved with me and you'll get that e-mail probably the 1st or second week of January.

Also if you go out of town for vacation or even just overnight make sure to call the sheriff's office and request to be put on the house watch program.  It's 100% free and they will drive by to check on your home while you are away to make sure there isn't anything suspicious going on and if you have a car in your driveway they'll check on that too.  GREAT program and totally FREE.   The number's 520-866-6800.

Maybe at the next HOA meeting we could bring up the idea of checking into what it would cost to gate the community, just an idea!
