Mrs Robben, thank you VERY much. We called & were told yes, its covered. Only downfall is we may have to wait 3 weeks for the repairs but thats much better than the Parker & Sons quote of $5000. Phew! Thanks again.

3 weeks sounds excessive. I have heard of them getting people out there within days. I would be persistent.

The water line that runs from the meter to our house ruptured last year - We had it replaced for about $900. The company that did the work sent a section of the broken pipe to the manufacturer - It turned out that their product had a recall, and we were able to be reimbursed 100%.
If it is the blue "plastic" pipe, chances are you could be reimpbursed as well.
Good luck. |

I just dug my main line up yesterday and found 2 holes. It is the blue line that is mentioned in another post. I called Providence Homes but they said that only parcels 1 and 2 are being covered at this time. I guess I am parcel 7 which is the SE corner of the Castlegate neighborhood. Providence Homes recommended that I contact the manufacturer directly to see if anything could be done. I am attempting to do so now and just waiting for a call back. I will post again if anything gets resolved.
On a side note one of my friends in the neighborhood also just had this issue last month.
On another side note these lines should be buried in sand and when I dug mine up it was mostly covered in rock. That is probably why so many people are having issues with it. |
