Water mains breaking

Posted in: Castlegate

Hi, I'll be moving to Castlegate Community by the first of Sept.

Wondering if the "blue pipe" was used throughout the development and just how widespread this issue is. I'll be in the 4800 block of E. Meadow Mist Lane.I have no idea which parcel I will be in.

Anymore events of breaks or leaks seen?

Has anyone taken this issue up with the HOA possibly a group action to remediate the issue?

See you all in september!   Patty

I forgot to post again but I did talk with the manufacturer and they came and replaced the pipe at no cost. I just called down and talked with a "Viega District Manager" and he asked me to send him an email about the situation. He then forwarded the email down to his manager for approval. The process took a couple of days but it was worth it in the end.

Remember the pipe is called "Vanguard Bruiser".

Mine just broke in the middle of the night. I have to wait for the OBMUA to open their office so I can have them shut down my water supply. My basement is completely flooded. I live in Cedar Ridge and almost everyone in this community has had their water main break due to the shoddy job done by the contractor who was hired back in 1993. This is going to cost me over $5,000 and I think it is so unfair that the contractor is allowed to get away with this, even if it is many years after the fact
