The City of El Paso held the 10th Annual Neighborhood Summit on September 6, 2014. This annual city-wide event is intended to provide educational workshops on community building, motivating keynote speakers, and current information about available community services and programs. Many prominent community leaders attended this year’s event.
Following a morning of informative workshops and discussions with the guest speakers, the city’s Department of Community and Human Development recognized your association as the 2014 Association of the Year. President Joe Molinar said, “On behalf of the board of directors and the entire membership, I accepted this distinguished award for the fine efforts and work done by so many board members, members, volunteers, business members and honorary members.”
This is truly an acknowledgement of the tremendous effort put forth by many Castner Heights residents selflessly volunteering to preserve and improve the quality of life within our neighborhood by fostering strong relationships, respect for cultural diversity, and pride among our community. Every member of our association should take great pride in this recognition of our ongoing work.
