CRIME REPORT; 07-22-10
Good morning!!!! Officers of the Abilene Police Department responded to numerous calls for service over the last twenty four hours. Here are a few examples. On Wednesday, at about 5:30 P.M., Officer Payne responded to a residential burglary call in the 1600 block of South 15th. The victim stated an unknown subject had kicked in the front door of the residence and had taken various items. The victim's loss was estimated at $800 and a report was worked for Burglary of a Habitation. Later, at about 11:51 P.M., Officer Shriver responded to a fight call in the 1800 block of South Clack. As the subjects were being dispersed, a vehicle driven by a 24 year old hispanic male backed into another vehicle. Officer Shriver attempted to contact the male as she could see he was bleeding from his face. As Officer Shriver was still leaning inside the vehicle, the subject drove off. With assistance from other officers, the suspect was stopped and arrested for third degree felony Evading Detention.
