CRIME REPORT; 11-29-10
Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…
At about 12:35 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Perkins was dispatched to a shoplifter call at a north side establishment. Upon arrival he contacted a 51 year old female who had been detained by store employees. Upon further investigation it was found that the female had concealed $137.00 worth of merchandise. It was also found that she had two outstanding warrants for her arrest. She was arrested and transported to the Taylor County Jail.
At about 5:50 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Harris responded to a disturbance call in the 2300 block of South 35th. Upon arrival he contacted a 34 year old male who had been in a disturbance with his wife. After further investigation it was found that this male subject had assaulted his wife. He was placed under arrest for Assault Family Violence.
Finally, at about 7:35 P.M. last night, Officer Joeris responded to a incomplete 911 call in the 2100 block of South 2nd. Upon arrival he contacted a 25 year old male who was yelling inside an apartment. It was found that this subject had been in a physical altercation with his girlfriend. When she tried to call 911 he grabbed the phone from her to prevent her from calling. The male subject was arrested for Assault Family Violence and Interference with a 911 Call. He was transported to the Taylor County Jail.
