CRIME REPORT; 6-21-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

Yesterday morning at about 11:35 am agents of the Special Operations Division contacted a car in the 300 blk of Westwood occupied by both a male and female.  Both were found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana and placed under arrest.  Both were charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Cocaine.    

 

This morning at about 3:20 am Officer Joe Plato responded to a Burglary of a Motor Vehicle in progress.  Officer Plato observed a man inside a vehicle taking items from the vehicle.  This male subject was placed under arrest for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.

CRIME REPORT; 6-22-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 6:02 yesterday afternoon Officer Aron Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 3900 blk of Don Juan for having unrestrained children.  A male subject who was a passenger and also not wearing a seatbelt was contacted.  He gave a false name.  His identity was discovered and he was placed under arrest for Fail to Identify.  This man was also in possession of Xanex without a prescription.  A second passenger in the car was also contacted for no seat belt and this male also gave a false name.  He was also arrested for Fail to Identify. 

 

At about 6:25 Officer Chris Hurd was dispatched to a burglary in progress in the 4200 blk of Edgemont.  The home owner had detained three persons who had entered the residence and were in the process of taking items.  Two female adults and one juvenile were taken into custody and charged with Burglary of a Habitation.    

 

And finally Officer Aron Bryan was dispatched to a traffic accident in the 900 blk of E Hwy 80.  A male subject had run a red light and collided with another vehicle.  He appeared intoxicated and was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  He failed and was placed under arrest and asked to provide a breath sample.  The results were 0.242 and 0.242.  O.08 is the legal limit.  He was charged with DWI with an Accident.

CRIME REPORT; 6-23-11

 

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

 

At about 1:30 this morning Officer Steffen Hartness observed a vehicle drive up onto the curb in the 2200 blk of S Danville.  Officer Hetness stopped this vehicle and contacted the male driver who appeared intoxicated.  He was administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Rests which he failed.  He was placed under arrest and asked to provide a breath sample.  The results were 0.241 and 0.248.  He was charged with DWI.

 

At about 3:30 this morning Officer Andrew Valdez stopped a car in the 700 blk of Park for expired registration.  The male driver gave a false name but the name he gave had a warrant hit.  Officer Valdez attempted to arrest the man who tried to flee.  When officers caught up to him he punched Officer Damian Hutchinson in the eye before he was subdued.  This man will be charged with Assault on a Public Servant, Evading Detention, Fail to Identify, and he had an outstanding Parole Violation warrant. 

 

At about 4:30 this morning Officer Darren Ruiz was dispatched to a possible Burglary in progress and saw a man jump over a chain link fence in the alley of the 5200 blk of Burbank.  Officer Ruiz went to contact this man and saw a bottle in plain sight containing some reacting chemicals that are consistent with the meth amphetamine manufacture process.  The man was found a short time later hiding under a vehicle in the front yard of the residence.  This man gave consent for a search of a camper on the property and they discovered the chemicals to manufacture meth amphetamine, some marijuana, some meth amphetamine, and a sawed off shotgun.  This man was charged with Manufacture of Meth Amphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
