CRIME REPORT; 8-1-11

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

Yesterday at 5:40 PM Officer Anthony Joeris was dispatched to the 2400 blk of Buffalo Gap Road in reference to an injured subject call.  The victim had obvious facial injuries and claimed that his roommate which is also his cousin had struck him several times in the face.  The cousin denied being involved but had knuckle injuries consistent with striking someone.  This male subject was placed under arrest for Assault Family Violence. 

At 8:45 PM  last night officer Jimmy Woods was dispatched to a north side business where loss prevention had detained a woman for concealing items on her person and leaving without paying for them.  She was turned over to officer Woods and she admitted to shoplifting items worth $97.26.  She was placed under arrest for Theft. 

And finally last night at about 7:00 PM Officer Donny Brown was dispatched to another north side business where store personnel had detained a woman for concealing items of clothing in her purse and left without paying.  She was turned over to Officer Brown and placed under arrest for Theft.

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

Yesterday at about 4:00 PM Officer Adam Becker was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 2500 blk of N Willis.  The call sheet indicated that a female was being assaulted by her father.  When officer Becker arrived the front door was open and he could hear screaming inside.  Officer Becker entered and found a man standing over a female who was cowering on the floor.  Officer Becker told the man to calm down and attempted to handcuff this man.  The man pulled away from officer Becker and turned on him with balled fists.  Officer Becker deployed a tazer on the man and placed him under arrest for Interfering with a Public Servant. 

At about 2005 last night Officer Volirakis as dispatched to a disturbance in the 5100 blk of Fairmont.  The male victim there claimed that his common-law wife hit him with a brush causing pain.  She then tried to hit him with a fence post but missed.  This female subject was placed under arrest for Assault Family Violence.

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

Yesterday at 1:42 PM Officer Terell Perkins was dispatched to a north side business for a shoplifter in custody.  Loss prevention had detained  a female subject for concealing items on her person and leaving without paying for them.  She was arrested for theft. 

At 6:20 PM Officer Chris Volarakis  was dispatched to the 2500 blk of Nonesuch for a disturbance.  It was reported that a juvenile suspect armed with a knife and a large stick had chased his mother into a bathroom where she had locked herself in.  This juvenile was trying to gain entry when officers arrived.  This juvenile was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.

CRIME REPORT; 8-4-11

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…

Last night at about 11:30 PM Officer Paul Martinez contacted a man at a south side business.  The man smelled strongly of marijuana.  Officer Martinez looked in the man’s car and there was marijuana in plain sight.  More marijuana was found in the car.  This male subject also had an alcoholic beverage that was stolen from the business.  He was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
