Dolores Roberts had the idea of a recipe page in a newsletter whenever we get that up and running again. Baby steps... So, if you have a recipe you would like to share, please email it to me and I will be sure to post it.

To start with, here is the recipe for the brownies my sister made for so many of our functions.
Brownies-Simple and Sweet: submitted by Sandra Goodson(former neighbor, still my sister)
2 sticks margarine or butter; 1 cp cocoa; 2 cps sugar; 4 large eggs; 2 tsps vanilla; 1/2 tsp salt; 1 cp all-purpose flour; 1 cp chopped nuts(optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees; Grease 9x13 pan; In medium saucepan, melt butter, remove from heat and stir in cocoa until well mixed. Add sugar and blend well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Mix in flour and salt until well blended. (Stir in nuts) Pour mixture into greased pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 15-20 minutes before cutting. May be frosted if desired. Eat and enjoy with a tall glass of cold milk!!
