The City of Glendale is asking that we have a community clean-up day to provide sweat equity in the grant that we have requested to install the Neighborhood entrance sign and update the sidewalk area between Maryland and Ocotillo.
The design of the sign has been chosen but now we need to go through the process of obtaining a grant to actually provide the sign.
Let's show Glendale that we are committed to keep our community clean and a desirable neighborhood to live in. We can do this by keeping our individual yards manicured and clean. Also, by having a community clean up day where we come together to clean up the public access areas that have weeds and trash on them. Last year a group of us worked for a few hours on one Saturday and accomplished a great deal. It made us more proud of our community. I am suggesting two dates, please let me know which date is best for you.
Saturday-June 9th-7:00 AM. or Saturday June 30th-7:00 AM. We will meet at 7946 W. Tuckey to get our assignments. Please call 847-0478 to let me know which day is best for you.
We will all need to sign a "Pledge Form" that is to be turned in to the City of Glendale. This is just to state that we will provide work to clean up our neighborhood.
