Great turn out
We had about 20 people show up, including Matthew Bryant (I was surprised because of the short notice). The meeting went great! Neighbors who had lived here for 31 years finally met. We addressed specific issues like who could watch the street during the day or night. We all signed a call log. I handed out red folders with ring-binder clasps so that every neighbor would have a Neighborhood Watch folder. I gave them some numbers and I will be giving each a neighborhood map with every homeowners name and number. I will also supply the call roster and emergency numbers.
They wanted to have another meeting in a month, but I managed to extend it to six weeks. I also pushed the Cabrillo Neighborhood Assoc. meetings. I think we'll get a lot of participation next month.
Holly Magana called before the meeting and gave me some advice. She will remain in contact. Matthew said he was very impressed. Heck, I was impressed!
