I'm hoping that there will be better enforcement of pool rules and general behavior throughout the grounds of our Community Club this summer.
There was clearly a problem at the beach volleyball court on most weekends last summer. The same group of non-resident 20-something men invaded the grounds, often drank from liquor bottles until they puked, verbally abused and threatened the residents, propositioned young girls, exposed themselves, vandalized the property and littered the grounds with bottles and garbage. The on-site Security personnel told us that they had ''no mandate'' to patrol this area of our grounds.
I've been informed by local real estate agents that this behavior has already become ''common knowledge'' and that prospective homeowners need to take this into consideration when purchasing a new home or re-sale.
