Committee Reports: Audit Committee – Audit Committee Member Snell reported the Committee was awaiting copies of deposited checks from National City Bank to reconcile the bank statements. He noted that upon receipt of those copies the Committee hoped to complete the audit in a timely manner and turn the financial records over to Treasurer Murphy.

Deed Restriction Committee: Trustee Snell reported that only Areas 2 and 6 reports were needed to complete the driveway/yard light survey and then notices could be sent to the residents who were not in compliance with the deed restrictions.

Unfinished Business: N. Reserve – Trustee Snell advised that he was shopping for an appropriate trash container to be installed at the N. Reserve. He noted that he would mount the container to a 4x4 post and secure it as appropriate. Trustee Briggs volunteered to dig the posthole and assist. It was agreed that Trustees Snell and Briggs would follow through on this project.

CWCA web site: A question arose about the CWCA web site. Trustee Snell noted that he had been in contact with resident Kurt Huffman on the matter but that Kurt had recently assumed the job as principal at an area school and may be very busy preparing for the upcoming school year. Trustee Snell advised that he would touch base with Kurt and advise at the next meeting.

New Business:

Electric expense for entance walls: Secretary Snell suggested that it might simplify CWCA business to have South Central Power connect the entrances to the existing streetlights metered and charged to the CWCA. He explained that getting one bill for the streetlights along SR 204 and Milnor together with the four entrance walls would eliminate the need to credit dues and then pay the entrance wall residents for the electricity used to light the entrance walls. Following discussion it was the consensus of opinion that this alternative should be investigated.

Ashley Creek Tennis Courts: Trustee Snell reported that Trustee Ross was in the process of obtaining a ruling previously issued by the Violet Township Zoning Commission that the Ashley Creek tennis courts would be available for use by residents of Chevington Woods at no charge.

Entrance Walls & North Reserve: A question arose between meetings as to the ownership of the North and South entrance walls. It is unknown whether the walls are upon Violet Township property or the property of the lot owners. The discussion continued to include the North Reserve because of a possible need to fence the north end of the N. Reserve to protect visitors to playground and picnic area from attack by apparent vicious dogs entering from the residence north of the reserve.

Following a lengthy discussion the consensus of opinion was to continue the dialogue and resolve the problems as appropriate for the benefit of the residents of the CWCA. However, it was agreed that no resident of Chevington Woods should fear to visit the N. Reserve.

As regards the entrance walls, Trustee Ross advised that she was going to visit the Violet Township offices shortly and report back to the Trustees as to the exact location of the entrance walls, if such could be dertermined by the Township records.

President Comanita then asked if there was any other business to come before the Trustees assembled. Hearing none, she entertained a motion to adjourn. Trustee Murphy moved to adjourn, the motion was duly seconded, passed without dissent and the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Will Snell, Secretary
