The Declaration of Covenant, Conditions and Restrictions for Chimney Lakes states in Article XI, Section 5, sub-paragraph f, "There shall be no fishing permitted from bridges, streets, or right of ways. Only Owners shall be permitted to fish in the lakes and only in areas so designated."
It is the purpose of this policy to designate the areas that will be permitted for fishing:
1. The lake at Westport and Argyle Forest Blvd (behind Copperfield and Silverfield) fishing will only be permitted along Westport Rd (from Argyle Forest Blvd to the fence at the waters edge), and along Argyle Forest Blvd.
2. The lake with the pavilion on it, the areas permitted for fishing will be only the lake bank on the park side and along Argyle Forest Blvd.
3. The lake at the entrance to Spencers Trace, the area permitted for fishing is the lake bank side of the lake by Argyle Forest Blvd.
The recreation center/Ivy Mill Lake, the areas permitted for fishing will be the lake bank from the pump house on Staples Mill at Cheswick Oaks around to the drainage canal area by the multi-purpose field, and not in the back yards of houses.
5. The first lake in Marsh Glen, the area permitted for fishing is the lake bank along Staples Mill and Irongate Drive to the fire hydrant on Irongate Drive.
6. The lake between Trappers Creek and Millers Creek, the only permitted area is the lake bank along Staples Mill Drive.
7. The two lakes at the entrance to Bridgecreek/Sable Creek, the only permitted area is the lake bank along Argyle Forest Blvd.
At no time will fishing be permitted in the following areas:
1. From any of the concrete control structures.
2. From any bridge.
3. Any area that is in a dangerous area.
4. From any area under construction.
5. From the lake banks of the following lakes; Charlesgate lake, Sutters Mills Lake, the center lake in Marsh Glen I, the back lake in Marsh Glen I, and the center lake in Bridgecreek.
This policy is for fishing in the areas described above as a use at your own risk policy and the Association excepts no responsibility for any injury, loss of property or anything else that results from the use of the lakes.
The St. Johns Water Management District states that the fish that are caught in the lakes SHOULD NOT BE EATEN because they could have toxins in them.
