ATTENTION HOMEOWNERS AT CROWN POINTE
I am interested in obtaining feedback regarding various ideas to help make our neighborhood more friendly, safe, and less costly. If you are interested in helping me in any of these ideas please feel free to Email me (neighborhood contact on our website)or telephone me
(between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. please) as soon as you can. Listed below are some current ideas (open for more!):
1. Homeowner?’s Association to deal with possible joint landscaping (including low maintenance yards), security, pool, roofing, plumbing, home improvement, electrical/gas, water services (could we get a better deal by coop buying?), and neighborhood problems. We need people with expertise for a Board, and time to meet monthly at a local place.
2. Newsletter to offer such things as for sale items, barters (neighbors helping retired or disabled neighbors), hardware lending (like ladders, tools, etc.), newcomers gift and homeowner names for support/ reference, summer jobs for teens (baby - sitters, jobs for pay for teens, robot building, taking care of pools, etc.), medical referrals, networking for employment (including ideas for home based work between neighbors .... website. etc.), yearly get togethers at various homes, and progressive
dinners (ideally going to restaurants so we don?’t have to cook, and share time together too), walking or sports type groups to be formed (including listing a certain cul de sac or
street safe for street hockey, etc.). The
classified section of our website can put ads
for for sale items!
3. Neighborhood walking groups (for instance, if you want to walk on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. meet at the corner of Keith and San Simeon, or on rainy days meet at the mall. This is great for retired people and new Moms, and safer as noone will know you?’re not home because there is no sign up sheet.
4. Has anyone heard of barking dogs that are disturbing you or dog droppings on the sidewalk or your property?
5. Your landscape help has set your lawn timers, but in our energy crisis is the water running all over into the street while you?’re not home?
6. Recycling club and let the children collect and take over to BelAir recycling center.
7. Start a Community Garden on available land?
8. Street speed bump for Tanzania hill?
9. Neighborhood photo June 9th 2001 at 10:00 am.
Support the apeal we presented to the City Council regarding the Planning Commission's approval of Greystone Business Park (with exit on Kensington). We are asking the City Council to approve a stoplight at Sunrise and Kensington.
Issues revolve around the following:
Quality of life ie. Bio/chem hazardous wastes
Parking in the neighborhood
Traffic through the neighborhood
(picture of building plan and a newspaper article
to be added to site here or in community calendar
city council meeting site on the website)
10.June 13, 6:30-7:30 p.m. 1st Homeowner's Association reconstruction meeting, RCONA presentation, meet with police officer for our neighborhood, get rep. for Cirby Side in RCONA (Roseville Coalition of Neigborhood Associations)
We look forward to hearing and seeing you all!
