Circle C Neighbors

Don't Be Fooled.

Posted in: Circle C
Dear Circle Cers,

Please read the flyers ?– ALL of them. A couple of the candidate's flyers that have recently been posted on the message boards or been delivered to your doorsteps lack one IMPORTANT thing ?– a clear message that addresses the issues. Shrewd, but NOT open and honest.

We want openness and honesty, don?’t we, folks? Vote for the FIVE ?– the ones who aren?’t afraid to tell you their views ?– the ones who have signed the Code of Ethics.

If you are unsure about who to cast your votes for, if you cannot attend the meeting -call 301-5160. Leave your name and address on our voicemail. Then sign and date the back of the first page, tape it to your door and Ed or I will come by and pick it up like last time.

Make sure your voice is heard ?– make sure we get an open and responsive BOD.

Marcia and Ed Silha

2 problem candidates

Circle C Neighbor,

If you were not able to attend any of the 3 candidate forums, I thought I'd give you my thoughts, before the election this Wednesday night, since I attended all 3 forums.

I think we have 9 great candidates out of the 11 that are running. I believe it's important for the voters to know the following information to make an informed choice, so our HOA can finally move forward. I'm writing this because I have a very serious concern with 2 of the 11 candidates. I have more than one reason to be concerned about Bob Alexander and Richard Relph as a CCHOA board candidate.

Bob Alexander
As he was speaking at the first forum, Bob Alexander was trying to answer a question and acted like he didn't know the name of the CCHOA Parks committee chair. Someone yelled from the audience ''Dwayne Dow'', to help him complete the sentence, then Bob responded, ''yeah, I think that's his name''. (Dwayne Dow was the person that was caught on video stealing 'Vote 9'' & ''Vote Quentin Fennessy'' signs before the last election. His embarrassing behavior was on News 8 Austin). At a Town Hall meeting at Kiker, in November 2003, Bob Alexander and Dwayne Dow sat together and both disrupted the non official Town Hall by repeatedly shouting from the audience while interrupting speakers. After the meeting they also stayed behind and talked with many different people - together, inside and even outside in the parking lot they were talking to different individuals while they stayed together. It appears as though, by ''not knowing'' Dwayne Dows name, he was trying to distance himself from his friend Dwayne Dow. This makes me wonder what else Bob Alexander has not been honest about.

At the first forum, Bob Alexander also promised to communicate with everyone. I emailed him a pleasant note, to ask his opinion about some issues. Two weeks have passed and there is still no reply from Bob Alexander.

At the third forum, Bob Alexander acted out in anger and hollered, ''I'm Mad!''. In my opinion, this type of outburst is unbecoming for a CCHOA board member.

Richard Relph
Richard Relph is the only candidate out of 11, that has said residents should NOT have the opportunity to communicate with the board at monthly board meetings. He's made this clear at 3 of the 3 forums. In my opinion, that by itself, is a backwards concept, and NOT what our neighborhood needs. Our HOA needs more communication not less.

Richard Relph is also Treasure and the County Director of a fringe Liberty Caucus of Texas group that has promoted flag burning. He has failed to mention his association with this fringe group in any of his literature or his CCHOA candidate bio. Here is an actual recent email from his fringe group:

--------------
This Friday is United Nations Day.
I hope you can join us and Several pro-liberty
and pro-American sovereignty groups in making
this dismal day an exciting and fun one, with a
good old fashioned UN Flag Burning!

WHAT: UN - Flag Burning - Day
WHEN: This Friday at 6PM
WHERE: 11th Street, in front of the south
State Capital, Austin, Texas

Bring your marshmallows, some friends and a camera!
--------------------

For those reasons, I'd suggest Bob Alexander and Richard Relph are NOT the best choice to lead us. Vote for someone else.

I'd suggest you chose 5 of the following 9 great candidates (in no particular order):

Mary Goehring
Alton Martin
James Brotherton
Steven Urban
Ed Scruggs
Marty Gibbs
Chris Dietz
Matt Cano
Bob McKenna

Please Vote at the meeting Wednesday night at Kiker, or if you are unable to attend the meeting, have your proxy and ballot delivered to the Lacross Info Center by Tuesday 5:00pm.

Bob

It just hit me, Bob Alexander has been bragging about his 25 years of business experience, running a business.

That business he's talking about is ''out of business''.

Dwayne Dow

Good News?
------------------
CCHOA,

I noticed on circlecranch.com, there is a vacancy for the parks committee. When did that occur? Why is Dwayne Dow no longer on the committee?
