looking good for now

My trees and those in my neighbor hood seem to be in good shape. Just noticed a lot of dead trees off of Escarpment where the David Weekly model home is, that area has a lot of dead trees.
Since my first post, have found several good info sites on the web by searching ''Texas Oak Wilt'' And by the way, I have started a new Circle C Neighborhood Yahoo Group that does the same as this site (no anonymous posting allowed) and also has a live chat feature and a polling feature. So far only 14 Circle Cer's have signed up. Makes me think that the majority really are not interested in a civil and educated discussion group. If your interested go to:

YES!

In July, we paid several hundred dollars to have four trees treated! We will be losing four other trees to Oak Wilt. One of our neighbors has done the same, but will likely lose every tree in the back yard (more than us).

We were unfortunate enough to not know about Oak Wilt and caught this from a neighbor that lives behind us. My opinion is that this person doesn't know why the tree is completely dead or didn't care.

If you suspect that you have Oak Wilt, call an arborist. Secondly, notify your neighbors so that they have a chance to say their trees. Once ANY sign of it is visible to the eye, it is TOO LATE.

A great web site is www.oak-wilt.com.
