Pool Use

Posted in: Circle C
My family and I were surprised to see, on Sunday afternoon, that part of our pool was devoted to scuba lessons. I do not remember seeing anything about this in any email or in the pool survey. Certainly there is interest in this, but using up pool area on a Sunday afternoon in July? To mak matters worse, the lesson area was then added to the existing adults only swim area, thus forcing all families with kids into one third of the pool. I have used the adult area and the lap lanes; I have no problem with that. But having been kicked out of lap lanes by the swim team on past summer afternoons/evenings and now this! Somebody please tell me I am wrong and should have known about this in advance but that I just was not paying attention.
They NEVER ask us peons!

The people at the helm did post this in an email communication. Of course they NEVER ask us peons what we think. We just live here, pay dues but have to follow whatever the hell the BOD decides to do! As a diver myself, I think it's great that people learn to scuba dive, but usually it is done AT A POOL such as a community pool which is what OUR pool seems to be! Personally I am so sick and tired of paying for the pool which I have communicated directly to the BOD about my feelings about it. Including the fact that the one time I tried to go swimming about a month ago during the week the entire pool was HOGGED by the swim team with 2 lanes open for US HOMEOWNER PEONS and one lane had that awful water thing squirting on my head! My husband and I have to SHARE ONE LANE.
It SUCKS! I am sick of it! I WANT MY POOL BACK FOR US HOMEOWNERS TO USE. Let the swim team use a community pool. This is a PRIVATE POOL for residents. Lastly, NOBODY asked me for any form of identification when we entered. I then went back inside again, nobody asked for ID! How many NON residents are USING OUR POOL!
Scubaland Adventure is Awesome!

I got an email about this. It was from Circle C Homeowners Association and was dated 7/17/2003. It came with a flyer attached to it.

Scubaland Adventures recently opened a store on William Cannon between Mopac and Brodie and they were here to present an introductory Scuba program. It was open to all residents. My guess was that the owner lived in Circle.

Registration was NOT required. It was open to ages 12 and older. If you had a trip planned somewhere where scuba diving is awesome, this would have been the perfect time to give Scuba a try.

There are many awesome things Circle C is priviledge to have because of the size of our pool and because of the number of homeowners that are interested in making our community better.

Pretty soon I too will not be getting these emails about this sort of thing because some homeowners wanted all of the email addresses that CHOA had. A lot of us opted out because of this. We did not feel like sharing our emails to whomever wanted them...just because they thought they were entitled to have anything they wanted/desired. Such a shame.

Sorry you did not get the email about it. Did you opt out? Have you been getting emails from CHOA? You can request that you receive emails by going to the real Circle C web site...Circlecranch.com. You can also email them from that web site and let them know you are not getting the emails and would like to get them.

Second, our pool is a community pool...for the Circle C community.

Third, I am sure you were not asked for identification because they know you. How could one not know who you are? You have made yourself pretty obvious so I am sure they don't need to see your ID.
