Understanding Compassion

Posted in: Circle C

Let's add another word to your vocabulary today. Shall we?

Compassion: Literally, suffering with another; a sensation of sorrow excited by the distress or misfortunes of another; pity; commiseration.''

There's a lot more information out there, other than what you are finding on the TCAD rolls.

Have you ever met Betty Beasley? You might consider calling ahead for a visit.

Do you know how the Schaffrath's came to live in Austin?

I would advise you to investigate this matter much more deeply before you make any more judgements.

Perhaps I can assist you?

It's been a few years now, since Betty's husband was diagnosed with cancer. Betty's daughter and son-in-law sold their home and business in Connecticut to be with Mr.Beasley. They uprooted the grandchildren and transplanted them here so they could actually surround the Beasley's with compassion. They gave up a lot do this but I think they would do it all again for the love of family. The Schaffrath's have always been there for Betty. As Betty's health has failed, they have taken on all aspects of her care, financial, legal and day-to-day decisions.

Could you do the same? Not unless you understand the meaning of the word and know how to act on it. The Beasley's obviously did a wonderful job of childrearing. Jim's parents must have communicated this to their son, as well.

Good luck with your own child.

Simple

Does your story magically make Jim Schaffrath a homeowner with a vote?

No.

Jim Schaffrath is a not a member of the CCHOA, his opinion does not matter, he has NO votes. Does your story change that?

Does your story give Jim Schaffrath the right to suggest neighbors should keep their children off the street when another neighbor is around? No.
No ''Story,'' Just Facts

I would not know if he has power of attorney, but if he did, wouldn't that make him eligible to vote in Betty's behalf?

''Does your story give Jim Schaffrath the right to suggest neighbors should keep their children off the street when another neighbor is around?''

_gee, I thought that Jim was taking poetic license when he wrote something along those lines.

It's kind of hard to verify that at this point. At any rate, I think that he was exercising his right to free speech.

Thank you so much for stepping up to the plate and batting without my name to hide behind.

Good luck with your story. I'm sorry that you don't like the facts.
